SmugMug > keywords > fontana lake > Remember those two-wheeled, horse-drawn carts? After publication of my story "Backpacking Up Hazel Creek, New York Style!" (http://home.earthlink.net/~tnhiker/lifeafter50onemansperspective/id93.html), the park service had new, more-restrictive, regulations passed by congress to restrict usage of carts to something with only two wheels that could be easily handled by one person and limited in size to 48" long x 24" wide x 18" high. Apparently this group from Asheville, NC, seen here at the Proctor boat ramp on 5/30/2009, didn't get the message. We watched six of them pulling & pushing this large 4-wheeled cart down Hazel Creek trail after their "week" of fun at one of the backcountry campsites along Hazel Creek trail.
